I wish

E:  Daddy, do they have 5 minutes less playtime each year?

Me:  What do you mean, at school?

E:  Yeah, like in grade one, do they do 5 minutes less playtime than kindergarten, and five minutes less in grade 2?

Me [Thinking I might as well prepare him for the realities of the world]:  Well, I think they still do some playtime but as you get older, school gets a bit more serious, like you start doing math and stuff--more serious kinds of learning.

E [sounding very disappointed]:  But playtime is really serious learning!!
